Greetings from Saint Meinrad. I hope this message finds you well and healthy during this crisis we are experiencing. Everyone around the country is making sacrifices to ensure the health and safety of all people. Here in the Alumni Office, we are doing what we can, not solely in prayer, but in following the guidelines of health professionals.
Therefore, we have decided to cancel the upcoming Alumni Reunion scheduled for August 2-5, 2020, at Saint Meinrad Archabbey. This decision was made for everyone’s safety amid the uncertainty of COVID-19. If you have paid for the reunion, a refund will be given.
While the Alumni Reunion will not be hosted at Saint Meinrad, we are planning to host an online experience. Details are still being worked out, but we are working with our speakers and partners to find the best way to bring you a virtual reunion.
You can look forward to events such as a keynote address, tours of sights on campus, and Fr. Denis Robinson, OSB, and the Alumni Board of Directors giving an update on Saint Meinrad and the Alumni Association with a live Q&A. We will inform you when the new registration opens on this website, as well as the new schedule of events. Note: These virtual reunion events will be free of charge.
As many of you have experienced these past few months, this pandemic has interfered with many long-held plans. Ultimately, this means adapting and being creative to find ways to communicate and to continue sharing faith and life with one another. Even the monastic community continues to live stream their Masses and Vespers services online at www.saintmeinrad.org/live. Know of their prayers for you as we all keep one another in prayer.
You can contact the Alumni Office by email at email@example.com with any further questions. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this difficult time.
