Clement S. Brunette, 96, of Brazil, Indiana, passed away at Gibson Family Center for Hospice
Care, on March 2, 2022, following a brief illness.
Clement was born on March 3, 1925, in Brazil, Indiana, the son of Leo and Veronica (Bussing)
Brunette. He served his country in the United States Army, in the infantry division, as a tank
operator, on a tank they named “Billy the Bull”, during the Korean War. Clem worked as a
mechanic for Lorenze Service Station for nearly 25 years. After retiring from Lorenze’s he went
to work as a union sheet metal worker for nearly 20 years. As a retirement job, Clem worked as a
vehicle delivery man, with his brother-in-law Chuck Pierce, driving busses and trucks all around
the country.
Clem was an avid Cubs fan and loved playing horseshoes and Euchre. He loved spending time
with family and lived for family reunions.
Clemwas preceded in death by his parents Leo and Veronica Brunette; siblings: John Brunette,
Edward Brunette, Brother Vincent Brunette, Margaret McCullough, and Robert “Bob” Brunette;
great-granddaughter Ashley Stuchell.
Clem is survived by his two sons: John (Betty) Brunette and Tim(Tracy) Brunette; grandchildren:
Betty Stuchell (J.R. Raines), Gregory Brunette, Megan (Austin Storm) Brunette, Jacob (Haylee)
Brunette, Kayla (Cole) Dickison, and Emily Chiles; great-grandchildren: Rylan Lumsdon, Karter
Brunette, Kasen Holifield, Maxwell Dickison, Jersey Brunette, Brian Brunette, and Bexley
Dickison; brothers: Jim Welch and Tommy Welch as well as many extended family members and
friends.
