Edward Paul Huff, 69 of Evansville, died Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital.
Born and raised in Mishawaka, Indiana, Ed graduated from Indiana University with a master’s degree in library science. He worked at Notre Dame Law Library in South Bend, IN; Suffolk University Law Library in Boston, MA; St. Joseph County Library in South Bend, IN; and Mohave County Public Library in Kingman, AZ.
While in Kingman, Ed became involved in parish ministries and returned to Indiana to obtain an M.A. from Saint Meinrad School of Theology. Afterwards he served as Pastoral Minister of Madonna Manor Senior Living Community in Villa Hills, KY. He received certification through the National Association of Catholic Chaplains and worked as a chaplain at Deaconess & St. Mary’s hospitals in Evansville; Owensboro Health Regional Hospital; and was manager of the Pastoral Care Department at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, KY.
Ed was raised as a member of St. Monica’s Catholic Parish in Mishawaka. While living in Henderson, KY, he attended Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church and most recently attended Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Evansville. Ed had an ecumenical spirit, and loved worshipping with people of all faiths. While a member of the Henderson County Ministerial Association, he helped plan, and participated in, the weekly Lenten services held in churches across the community. He looked forward to meeting with his Sunday School class and the Men’s Bible Study group from First United Methodist Church in Henderson. He also enjoyed volunteering in Evansville at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church food pantry and Sister Joanna’s Table ministry; and at St. Lucas United Church of Christ’s breakfast for the poor and homeless.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack Edmund Huff & Roseanne Marie (Pahucki) Huff; his stepmother, Sarah (Bowerman) Huff; his sister, Margaret Huff Sanderson; infant twin brothers, John Edward & James Edmond Huff; his beloved cousin and godmother, Dr. Gena Rose Pahucki; and his former father-in-law and mother-in-law, Mojo & Jeanette Hollowell.
Survivors include his stepsister, Mary Ellen Sabaj of East Lansing, MI; step-nieces; cousins; and his ex-wife and best friend, Cindy Hollowell of Henderson.
