Aloysius (Al) Preske, 82 passed away Sunday September 16, 2012 at Pine Haven Health and Rehabilitation. Al worked as a carpenter and later was employed in the maintenance department at Welborn Hospital retiring in 1991. He was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church and was in the US Army serving in Vietnam and Korea. He was preceded in death by his wife Marjorie (Hotzmeier) Preske, parents, Felix and Mary Preske; brothers, John and Fr. Felix Preske; sisters, Sister Angeline Preske, OSB, Mary Louis and Rosalie Preske. Al is survived by his son, John F. Preske (Mary) of Evansville; daughters, Sara Allen (Robert) and Linda Preske all of Evansville; brothers, Fr. Venantius Preske of Horseshoe Bend, AR, Henry Preske, Deacon Richard Preske and Marvin Preske all of Evansville; sister, Teresa Martin of Evansville. Visitation will be from 3:00 G╟⌠ 7:00 pm Wednesday September 19, 2012 at Ziemer Funeral Home Central Chapel, 626 N. First Ave., Evansville, IN 47710 with a memorial service at 6:30 pm. Funeral service will begin at 9:45 am Thursday at the funeral home and will continue at 10:00 am with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 704 N. 1st Ave., Evansville, IN 47710 with Fr. Jay Davidson officiating. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 704 N. 1st Ave., Evansville, IN 47710.
