Brian Gilmartin, 58, was born in Hempstead, NY. He was with several different companies as a Sales Rep in the food industry for 25 years. He had been an English teacher for the past four years at Evans High School. Brian is a 30 year member of the Good Shepherd Catholic Church where he served on the Men’s Club and the festival committee. He loved to cook and barbecue in the smoker and for 10 years he competed on the Barbecue Team and had the time of his life. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to Hospice of the Comforter, 480 W. Central Parkway, Altamonte Springs, FL 32714. Brian is preceded in death by his son, Scott; brothers, Paul and Richard. Survivors include his wife, Kathy; daughter, Amy (Jason)Bingham; brothers, Danny(Alice)Gilmartin, Gene(Betty) Gilmartin, Mike(Norma) Gilmartin, Bill(Denise)Gilmartin, and Pat(Roberta)Gilmartin; mother, Florence Gilmartin; mother-in-law, Marguerite Rignall; grandchildren, Hunter Marcello and soon to be Grace Katherine Bingham, Hailey and Cassie Bingham; several nieces and nephews.Information obtained from the Orlando Sentinel.
