Mr. Johnson was a Benedictine monk at St. Meinrad Monastery for 17 years. He was an accomplished organist and taught music and directed several choirs in the Chicago area. In recent years, he served as organist at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Fort Wayne. He was born July 2, 1948, in Huntington to Kenneth Lee and Mildred L.Teusch Johnson.Survivors include a brother, Kenneth A. Johnson of Huntington; and three sisters, Carol Cravens of Maumee, Ohio, Marilyn Isaac of Huntington, and Janet Stamper of Warsaw.A sister, Mary Lou Johnson, preceded him in death.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made for Masses to SS.
