Evansville – Charles “Charley” A. Reising, 81, of Evansville, passed away Thursday, October 24, 2019 at St. Vincent Hospital. He was born November 4, 1937 in Evansville to the late Eldon and Helen (Muehlbauer) Reising.
Charles graduated from St. Meinrad High School class of 1955. He received his bachelor’s degree in marketing from Xavier University in 1960. He was President of Indiana Wholesalers Inc. Charles was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church where he served as a member of the Parish Council and President of the School Board. Charles was a member and served as President of the following organizations: Evansville Serra Club, St. Meinrad Lay Alumni Association, and the Catholic Education Foundation. He served with the Indiana National Guard and attained the rank of Sargent.
Charles is survived by his wife of 55 years Carole (Altstadt) Reising; sons, Alan (Lisa) of Evansville and Dr. Brian (Kristine) Reising of Atlanta, GA; daughter, Cynthia (Daniel) Woolard of Dayton, OH; grandchildren, Katherine and Luke Reising and Phoebe and Dean Reising; sisters, Susann Reilly of Ft. Worth, TX and Frances (James) Sanders of Knoxville, TN. and many nieces and nephews.
