Charles Gus” August Zurface, 71, passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2015. He was born in Crawfordsville, Indiana on October 23, 1943 to Charles and Anna Zurface.Gus attended Saint Meinrad for five years in St. Meinrad, Indiana and Marian College. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War in Thailand as a Data Processing Machine Operator, 8th Combat Support Group, Ubon Royal Thai Air Force Base. Gus was a computer programmer for the American Legion, Bliss Corporation, and Amway Corporation.He was a 4-H leader, president of Hastings Band Booster, and treasurer of Amway Retiree Club. He enjoyed time outdoors and he was an avid hunter and fisherman enjoying time spent with friends and family.Gus is survived by wife of 44 years, Beverly; son, Edward (Susan) Zurface; daughter, Michele Zurface; son, Austin (Tera) Zurface; grandsons, Bailey, Nathan and Brent; brother, Joseph (Chris) Zurface; and brother, Robert (Janey) Zurface.”
