Mr. Bowman, 69, Vincennes, died at Good Samaritan Hospital after a short battle with cancer.Born April 25, 1937, he was the son of Arthur and Veronica (Wichman) Bowman.Mr. Bowman graduated from Central Catholic in 1955. He studied at Saint Meinrad Seminary for two years. He was a devoted lifetime member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church where he served as a lector and as a eucharistic minister. He was a 4th Degree Knight at the Knights of Columbus and also served as the financial secretary. He was an active supporter of Gibault School and Heart-to-Heart.He worked for Transport Motor Express for 28 years, Prairie Farms for 20 years and at Office Connections the past five years.He enjoyed spending time with his wife and family. His whole life was his family, church, K of C and work. He enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren play sports and when he could not be there he listened to the games on the radio.He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Joan (Wagoner) Bowman of Vincennes, whom he married May 3, 1958; his brothers, Arthur Art” Bowman and his wife, Carol, of Vincennes, AJ “Burr” Bowman and his wife, Sue, of Melbourne, FL, Robert “Bob” Bowman and his wife, Shirley, of Dayton, and Kenneth “Ken” Bowman and his wife, Ann, of Vincennes; several nieces and nephews; his children, Rebecca Campbell and her husband, Don, of Lawrenceville, IL, Charles “Ed” Bowman and his wife, Rhetta, of Vincennes, Regina Blinn and her husband, Steve, of Vincennes, Catherine Kitchin and her husband, Chris, of Vincennes, and Ronald Bowman and his wife, Becky, of Vincennes; 13 grandchildren, Elyssia Eaton and her husband, Brad, of New Castle, Veronica Black and her husband, Tim, of Savannah, GA, William Campbell of Lawrenceville, Justin Blinn, Jonathan Bowman, Chelci Bowman, Jared Blinn, Alex Kitchin, Grant Kitchin, Claire Kitchin, Marvin Robinson, Jacky Robinson, and Stacy O’Neil all of Vincennes; and five great-grandchildren, Jordan Robinson, Dakota Adams, Keegan O’Neil, Ivan Robinson and Lola Robinson.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gibault School or St. John Church.Information obtained from the Vincennes Sun Commerical on line at www.suncommercial.com”
