Clarence J. Mullis, 85, of Ferdinand passed away peacefully Monday September 21, 2020 at The Timbers of Jasper. Clarence was born November 4, 1934 in Akron, Ohio to William J. & Emma (Weyer) Mullis.
Clarence was a lifelong member of Saint Ferdinand Church. He served in the US Army from 1958 – 1964 at Fort Sam Houston in Texas. He was a member of Ferdinand Legion Post 124. Clarence retired from D.M.I. Furniture after many years. After retirement, he worked as a gatehouse attendant at Ferdinand State Forest. Clarence’s passion was leading the Ferdinand Boy Scouts Troop 186 as Scoutmaster for many years. He was an avid reader, and computer enthusiast. Clarence enjoyed crafts, Boy Scout projects, and his trips to Philmont. But his favorite thing was sitting outside watching the seasons go by and watching wildlife.
Surviving are many nieces and nephews. Clarence was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, William and Ralph Mullis, and a niece Jennifer Mullis.
