David George Mader, 73, of Parkersburg, passed away May 6, 2015, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born April 23, 1942, in Indianapolis, Ind., a son of the late Sylvester and Marie (Koesters) Mader.Mr. Mader was a Professor of Computer Science at Marietta College. His former work included teaching Math and Computer Science at Parkersburg Community College (now West Virginia University at Parkersburg), The Ohio State University and the Lima Branch of The Ohio State University.He received his B.S. degree from Marian College, his M.S. and Ph.D., from The Ohio State University and attended the West Virginia College of Graduate Studies.David was a longtime, active member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, where he had numerous duties including head usher. He was instrumental in the building and upkeep of the Parish Library and the Church website. He was a great supporter of Parkersburg Catholic High School and filled vital roles in numerous clubs and activities there.Survivors include, loving wife Judy (Dill) Mader of Parkersburg, W.Va. and eight children: Denise Suzanne (Jimmy) Connell with their children, Matthew A. and Katie M. of Tuscaloosa, Ala., Jonathan David (Dana) Mader with their children, Jordan E. and Kendal A. of Parkersburg, Jason David Mader of Williamstown, Deena Louise (P.J.) Mader McKenna with their children, Amelia R. , Kean H. and Delilah M. of Yonkers, N.Y., Justin David (Michelle) Mader of Phoenix Ariz., Deborah Marie Mader (Tommy Creagh) with their children: Kai M., Kanoe R., and Milani H. of Maui, Hawaii, Jeremy David Mader of Parkersburg and Joseph David Mader of Hanover, Md. Also siblings, Fr.
