It is with great sadness that the family of Fred E. (Bo) Fugazzi, Jr. announces his sudden and unexpected passing on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at the age of 73.

Bo, son of Fred E. and Elizabeth Nunn Fugazzi, will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his daughter Kate (Jason) Bitsoff, his son Evan, and his grandson Jackson Bitsoff. He is survived by his sisters Betty Bruce Fugazzi (Tom Olson) and Joyce Fugazzi Toth. He was predeceased by the love of his life, Elizabeth Joseph Fugazzi, in February of 2020. A native of Lexington, KY, Bo graduated from the University of Kentucky earning both his Bachelor of Science and Juris Doctor degrees. A well-respected member of the legal community, Bo’s long career encompassed many roles. He was a partner at several esteemed law firms in Lexington, served as judge, mediator and county attorney, and held leadership positions in both the Kentucky and Fayette County Bar Associations.

He relished his opportunities to mentor others both professionally and personally. Bo was honored to serve as a deacon for the Catholic Church assigned to the Cathedral of Christ the King and later the Newman Center. Late in life he divided his time between Lexington, his beloved hometown, and Venice, FL where he and Elizabeth lived out their dream of spending their days on the beach. He was a proud husband, father and grandfather. He was known to enjoy a good meal with at least one dessert, indulge in his favorite cigars and always had a joke ready to share.
