Mr. Jerome Anthony Heitkotter, 71, of Granger, IA, passed away Monday, March 3, 2003 at Mercy Hospice House from cancer.
He was born in Aurora, IL. Jerome had lived in Plainfield and Lisle, IL prior to moving to Granger, Iowa in 1966. He was employed by John Deere, Des Moines Works as a punch press operator. He retired from the U.S. Navy. Jerome was a member of Assumption Catholic Church, was a Deacon for the Diocese of Des Moines, and belonged to the Knights of Columbus. Jerome also enjoyed gardening and fishing.
Survivors include his daughter, Kristin Heitkotter of Chicago, IL; two sons, Mark Heitkotter of Grand Forks, ND and Marty (Susan) Heitkotter of Plano, TX; his sister, Rita Wiesbrook of Somonauk, IL; three grandchildren; and a great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucy Heitkotter.
