Raymond Kenneth Linden, 71, of Prince George, passed away Monday, April 15, 2013. Born in Aurora, Ill., he was the son of the late Kenneth and Mary Esser Linden. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Debbie Dehn. After retiring from a life of teaching and business, Ray chose to go into diaconal formation and has served as an ordained Deacon for the Catholic Diocese of Richmond for 10 years. He is survived by his wife, Marge Linden; his children, Steven Linden and wife, Kalynn, Michele Scherdin and husband, Tom, Mark Handka and wife, Joy, Nathan Handka and wife, Fadia, and Bethany Linden; his grandchildren, Brianna Linden, Nicholas Linden, Jamie Scherdin, Ryan Scherdin, Justin Scherdin, Reagan Scherdin, Jordyn Handka, Dylan Handka, and Jonathan Handka; his brother, Jim Linden; and nephews, Brian Linden and Mike Linden. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 17, at Church of the Sacred Heart in Prince George. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to Mass. A rosary service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the church followed by interment in the church cemetery.
