Deacon Dick, 90, of Oakridge Senior Living Community, Stevens Point, WI died at the Crystal River Rehab and Nursing Center, Waupaca. He was born June 11, 1920 in Huntington, WV.He served as Assistant Deacon at St. Bronislava Catholic Parish since August 2007 and was a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus. Dick attended Walnut Hills High School in Cincinnati, OH and graduated from Purdue University in 1941.He was a WWII Veteran retiring from the Army Artillery as a Major.In 1982 he retired from FMC Corporation after 35 years of service and world travel. Upon retiring he immediately enrolled in the Diaconate Program in San Diego, CA. Dick was ordained as a permanent deacon in 1987. He was a member of the Serra International and the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem.He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Emmaline; his son Rick (Carole) of Stevens Point; daughter Janice of Vista, CA and three grandchildren, Ian of Chicago IL, Viqi (Gabe) Garcia of Cheyenne,WY, and Stephen of Escondido, CA. He is also survived by sisters, Betsy Foster of Clyde, NC, and Doris Neisler of Long Boat Key, FL., nieces & nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Marge Ivers.For online condolences please visit www.pisarskifuneralhome.com.
