Donald E. Greenwell, 65, of Evansville, Indiana, went home to Jesus on Monday, December 2, 2013 at St. Mary’s Medical Center.Don was born in Whitesville, Kentucky on October 13, 1948 to the late William and Nancy (Upchurch) Greenwell. He attended Saint Meinrad and later graduated from Rex Mundi High School. After high school, Don attended Ivy Tech College and the University of Evansville. He was a family man at heart, his son, Christopher was his pride and joy. Don enjoyed music, he was a drummer who played in a rock and roll band “Tyme Lapse” with his son. He was also a genealogist who published a book about his hometown of Whitesville, KY.Don is survived by his wife of 41 years, Roz (Riordan) Greenwell; son, Christopher Donald Greenwell (Amanda); sister, Pam Stephens; brothers, William “Bill” Greenwell (Janet), Joseph “Joe” Greenwell (Dana), Bruce Greenwell, Michael “Mike” Greenwell (Robin), all of Evansville, IN.Don was preceded in death by his parents.A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, December 6, 2013 at Nativity Catholic Church, 3635 Pollack Ave, Evansville, IN 47714 with Father Henry Kuykendall officiating. Burial will follow at St Joseph Catholic Cemetery.Friends may visit from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday, December 5, 2013 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Avenue Evansville, IN 47711, where a memorial service will be held at 7:00 PM.
