Donald W. Ragan, 83, of Franklin, IN passed away Friday, July 15, 2022 at Morning Pointe of Franklin, IN. He was born May 1, 1939 in Richmond, VA to Maynard Curtis Ragan and Julia (Oliver) Gaines.
Don attended St. Meinrad Seminary. He was a graduate of Cathedral High School in Indianapolis, IN and attended Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa, CA.
Don served in the United States Marine Corps from 1962 until 1966 during the Vietnam War.
He was a Master Electrician for 60 years and was a member of the Indiana Brotherhood of Electrical Workers local 481 for 64 years and co-owner of Leader Electric Company for 17 years in Franklin and Columbus.
Don was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Franklin, IN and the Hillview Country Club.
He enjoyed golf and spending time with his family, friends, and was a very proud and loving grandfather.
Survivors include his wife Freida (Ravellette) Ragan of Franklin, IN whom he married on May 29, 1983, a son Tom Ragan of Franklin, IN, stepdaughter Kristen Ray (Jacen) of Greenwood, IN, grandchildren Hailey Ragan of Franklin, IN, Madison Ellis (Bryan) of Greenwood, IN and Logan Ray of Greenwood, IN.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings and a daughter Jennifer Ragan Pinkston.
