On September 5, 2017, Dr. Bernard Kniery died at his residence. Born July 4, 1965 in Normal, IL, he was third oldest of eleven children.Berny was a kind-hearted, humble man, loving husband and amazing father of three incredible children. He enjoyed spending time with his family – reading, talking, singing, praying, and playing games. Berny will be remembered for his beautiful singing voice, his burning passion for church and his faith, his boisterous laughter and his zest for family and friends. His children will always remember his competitiveness in games, but especially his compassion for others and willingness to help those in need. He is a man of thought. His presence emanated an aura of calmness. He will be truly missed.Berny survived by his loving wife, Theresa Ann; three amazing children, Nicholas James (20), Jacquelyn Bernadette (19), Kathleen Theresa (Katie Girl) (14); father-in-law, John J Caulfield; siblings, Edward (Yuka) Kniery, Andrew (Rita) Kniery, Mary Francis (John) Middlebrooks, Paul (Angela) Kniery MD, Monica (Marc) Hamilton, Rita Rose (Ryan) Lytle, John (Gina) Kniery, Elizabeth (Keith) Mitchell, Maria (Bob) Britton-Sipe, and Teresa Elmore; aunt, Sr. Clarice Kniery; brothers and sisters-in-law, Kevin and Pat Caulfield, John and Donna Caulfield, Robert and Donna Caulfield, Patti and Justin Bahr; niece, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews who loved him dearly, Kimberly McLoughlin (Christopher, Baby Christopher) William Caulfield (Marissa, Ella), Joseph Caulfield (Laura,), Michael Caulfield, Ian Bahr, Patrick Bahr, Megan Bahr, Michael and Aidan Cadden. Berny was preceded in death by his father, James Aloysius Kniery; and his mother-in-law, Patricia Mary Caulfield.He will forever live in our hearts and his life will be celebrated with each memory.
