Dr. Robert L. “Bob” Receveur, 84 years of age passed Thursday, November 30, 2017. He was born in New Albany to the late Cletus and Leona (Lewis) Receveur. Bob attended St. Xavier High School where he later taught. Dr. Bob went to St. Meinrad School of Theology. He went on to receive his medical degree from University of Louisville Medical School in 1965. In 1959 he married Diana Katherine Stumler. She has been his loving wife of 58 years. Dr. Bob was a family practice physician, who was committed to his community for over 50 years. He was a former Chief of Staff at Floyd Memorial Hospital, where he practiced as a physician. Dr. Bob was a dedicated and selfless man. He never refused a patient due to their circumstances. Everyone was treated equally. Later in his medical career, he was a physician for Norton Urgent Care in Jeffersonville. He was a devout Roman Catholic and a member of St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving daughter, Krista Renee, and sister, Nancy. Survivors include his wife, Diana; daughters, Kelly, Kerry; siblings, Suzanne, Paul, Mary, Carol; grandchildren, Olivia, Stephanie, Zack, Matthew; great grandchildren, Kayla, Jordan, Chase, Aden, and Wesley.
