Dr. William T. Teare, Jr., age 78, passed away Tuesday November 30, 2021 at his home after a courageous battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his loving and supportive family.
Bill was born in Beaumont, Texas to the late William Sr. and LaMerle Teare, He was the second of six children. His siblings include Patricia, Mary, John, Jim, and Christine. Bill graduated from Memorial High School. He attended St. Edward’s College and graduated from IU Dental School. After graduating, he served in the United States Navy as a dental officer aboard the U.S.S Benewah during the Vietnam War. After discharge from the Navy, he established his private dental practice where he served Evansville and the Tri-State for 50 years. Upon retiring, he turned his practice over to Franklin Street Dentistry.
Bill was a member of the Evansville Rotary Club. He was an avid reader, enjoyed golf, traveling, scuba diving, and was a licensed pilot. Bill was happiest spending time at home with his family and loyal dog, Brandy.
He is survived by his heartbroken wife, Andrea; children, Shane, Nikki, and Kathleen; and granddaughter, Emma.
Our dad was the most kind and gentlest man to have blessed our lives. He will be dearly missed every minute of every day. And, we will continue to honor him by using duct tape whenever possible…
