Eddie was 86. He was born on Nov. 2, 1925, in the town of Eaton, 2nd son of John and Caroline (Van Goethem) Vanden Bush. Edmund attended three years of grammer school at Henrysville School Eaton and Water Division School, Humboldt, for five more years. At 21 years he took high school at St. Lawrence Seminary, Mt. Calvary with two years junior college, one year Saint Meinrad (Indiana)and finishing at St. Norberts in 1954, with a Bachelors in secondary teaching. Eddie taught at Denmark High School for 33 years in the English Department and St. Vincent Hospital as an orderly. He retired and continued working at St. Vincent Hospital and volunteered at numerous places such as St. Vincent DePaul, Paul’s Pantry, Salvation Army, Literacy Program, Brown County Mental Health, and at Bellin Hospital as a communion distributor. He was a member of the Catholic Knights and the BCREA. Eddie enjoyed gardening, reading, dancing and was very active in his church community.He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Theresa; daughter, Paula (Jeff) Klaus, Green Bay; son, Thomas (Brenda) Vanden Bush, Pulaski; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild; brother, Gilbert (Carol) Vanden Bush, Green Bay; sisters, Yvonne (Ron) Wypiszenski, Green Bay; Joan (James) Berger, Green Bay; sisters-in-law, Lucille Vanden Bush, Rosemary Vanden Bush, all of Green Bay; Eleanor Gambsky and Delores Pocan; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Caroline Vanden Bush; father-in-law and mother-in-law Tony and Anna Eskofski; siblings, Clifford (Jeanette) Vanden Bush, Clem Vanden Bush, Ralph (Doris) Vanden Bush, Ardeal (Jackie) Vanden Bush, Ellen (Lloyd) Strebel and Joe Vanden Bush; sister and brothers-in-law, Marcie (Robert) Edwards, Ken Gambsky and Jim Eskofski.Friends may call at the Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St., on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. Parish wake service 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with Pastoral Associate Pat Ratajczak. Visitation will continue on Saturday after 9 a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle, 5930 Humboldt Rd., until the time of Mass. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church with Rev. William O’Brien officiating. Burial in the St. Hubert Cemetery, Humboldt.
