Emil L. Hopf, 71, Jasper, died in St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville from injuries sustained in a farm accident on June 22.He was born at Jasper April 23, 1939 to Edward and Catherine (Kluemper) Hopf. He was married to Theresa Wessel August 1, 1976, in Holy Family Catholic Church in Jasper.Surviving are his wife, two sons; Edward Hopf (Jasper) and Eric Hopf (St. Louis, MO); a brother, Harold (Jasper); three sisters, Sr. Mary Gabriel Hopf, CP (Ellisville, MO), Mrs. Norbert (Verena) Schroeder and Mrs. Hilbert (Bernadine) Schnell, both of Jasper; and one grandson.He was preceded in death by brothers Ambrose Hopf and Msgr. Linus Hopf and sisters Loretta Burgan and Dorothy Senninger.Emil was a farmer and a logger. He was a member of St. Raphael Catholic Church in Dubois.
