Christopher G. Bazar, 46, of Tiffin, passed away at 4:53 p.m., Thursday, January 31, 2019 at the Furnace Run Park in Richfield, Ohio.

Christopher was born on August 24, 1972, in Tiffin, to George Timothy and Julie A. (Gaietto) Bazar who survive in Tiffin.

Survivors include his parents, a brother, Douglas M. (Heather) Bazar of Romulus, MI, four aunts, Angie Brock of Tiffin, Nancy (Ed) Johnson of Longwood, FL, Jeannie Gaietto of Tiffin, Delores “Dee” Bazar of St. Clairsville, OH, an uncle, Daniel Henige of Mansfield, a special friend, Marianna Hardy of Chagrin Falls and many cousins in the Tiffin area along with eastern Ohio and Italy.

Christopher was a 1991 graduate of Mohawk High School. He went on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree of Arts in English in 1995 from St. Meinrad College, a Masters of Arts Degree in Catholic Thought and Life in 1998 from St. Meinrad Seminary, and a Masters of Divinity in 2004 from St. Meinrad Seminary. Christopher was ordained in 2004 and served the diocese of Toledo. Christopher was also a Fourth Degree Knight of the Knights of Columbus, out of the Findlay.

After his ministry life was complete he pursued his lifelong dream of becoming an over the road truck driver working for Schneider Trucking and MAST trucking. He enjoyed to travel throughout the United States, Canada, and also took many trips to Europe including Hungary, Italy, France and Belize. Christopher was a true lover of sports, Indy car racing and went to the Indy 500 for many years. He was a solid fan of the Cleveland Indians and even got to see a World Series. Christopher was first and foremost a devoted fan of that team up north “Michigan” and also had a passion for Hockey and the Detroit Red Wings.

Christopher was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Anthony Sr. (Rosina) Gaietto, paternal grandparents, George (Mary) Bazar, an uncle, Anthony Gaietto Jr. and a aunt, Laurie Gaietto.
