Father Donald P. Thibault, O.P., who served for seven years as pastor of Holy Innocents parish, Pleasantville, died Jan. 8, 2018 at Rosary Hill Home, Hawthorne. He was 78.
Father Thibault served at Holy Innocents, 2004-2011. He also served as pastor of Holy Name of Jesus parish, Valhalla, 1987-1992, where he was parochial vicar, 1986-1987.
He also served in Kentucky, Ohio, Rhode Island and Washington, D.C.
Born in Lewiston, Me., he entered the Dominicans’ Province of St. Joseph in 1961 and professed final vows in 1965. He was ordained in 1968.
He earned a bachelor’s degree from Providence College.
He is survived by his sisters, Pauline Goulet and Patricia Boardman.
