Fr. J. Michael Wrigley, a priest of the diocese of Birmingham passed away December 17, 2013 at the age of 58. He is survived by his two sisters: Mary Ann Murphy of Winchester, VA and Alice Forrest of Virginia Beach, VA. Father Wrigley served in multiple parishes and ministries in the Diocese of Birmingham, including St. Francis Xavier in Birmingham, St. Leo in Demopolis, St. Vincents Hospital, St. Barnabas in Birmingham, as well as the Charismatic and Cursillo communities. The visitation will be at St. Barnabas Catholic Church in Birmingham on Friday, December 20th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. with the Wake service at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be on Saturday , December 21st at the Cathedral of St. Paul in Birmingham at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery.Published in The Birmingham News on Dec. 19, 2013
