Father James E. Keethers, 67, formerly of Evansville, passed away in Maryland.Fr. Keethers graduated from Saint Meinrad and was ordained a priest in Insbrueck, Austria, on March 26, 1966. He served at St. Theresa, St. John’s in Newburgh, and St. Joseph Church in Jasper, and also taught at Memorial and Rex Mundi High Schools. Father James lived in Gaithersburg, Maryland, and assisted the mentally challenged.He is survived by brothers, Eugene A. Keethers of Evansville, Richard J. Keethers, O’60, and his wife, Anne, of Kankakee, IL, and Peter J. Keethers and his wife, Ruth, of Tennyson, IN; a sister, Patricia Probst of Belleville, IL; and nieces and nephews.Memorial contributions can be made to St. Clement Catholic Church Building Fund, 422 E.
