Father Joseph Patrick Healy, 65, was born to James and Rosemarie Healy in Pittsburgh, PA in 1944, the last of triplets, and the 11th of 12 children. Joe attended Saint Meinrad Seminary for six years. He was drafted into the Army and served in Viet Nam as chaplain’s assistant in the infantry. He moved to San Francisco in 1968 and worked in the stock brokerage houses for 13 years. He turned his attention to alcohol and drug counseling and was Director of Substance Abuse Services for Baker Places when he entered St. Patrick’s Seminary. Father Joe Healy was ordained by then Archbishop William Levada on June 8, 1998.Father Healy served as a parochial vicar at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Belmont (1998-2004), Saint Robert Church (2004-2007), and Most Holy Redeemer Church (2007-2009.) Joe is survived by his sisters Anita Froelich (George), and Marilyn; his brothers Robert, Richard, James, Lawrence, Daniel and a loving multitude of family and friends.
