Reverend Kevin Cassidy passed away on February 24, 2015. Father Kevin W. Cassidy, 80, recently of Sun City, AZ. Received his heavenly reward on, Tuesday, February 24, 2015. Born to the late Peter and Jennie Cassidy in Arva County Cavan Ireland, on May 27, 1934 he enjoyed a loving Irish home with siblings; Oliver, Phyllis, Jean (Hal) Gillette and Mae (Robert) Bevensee. He came to the U.S. and studied Theology at the Saint Meinrad Seminary in Indiana. He was ordained, May 28, 1960 at St. Raphael Cathedral in Madison, Wisconsin. Fr. Kevin accomplished many things for Christ, but those he was most proud of were his tenures as Pastor for 21 years at St. Cecilia’s Catholic Parish, Wisconsin Dells, the Chaplain for the Wisconsin State Law Enforcement Officers Association and retired Grand Chaplain of the Elks National Foundation for 10 years. One of his most cherished projects was the completion of Camp Gray in Baraboo, Wisconsin, where he served as director from September 1963 to January 1972.The family asks in lieu of flowers that contributions be made to the Elks National Foundation, 2750 N.
