Reverend Matthew J. Kish, 95 of Hammond, IN passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 22, 2012. He is survived by his sisters-in-law, Frances Kish and Patricia Kish; several nieces and nephews; preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Theresa Kish; brothers, Joe, Bill and Frank Kish. Visitation will be on Thursday, November 29, 2012 from 4:00-8:00 PM with the Rite of Reception of the Body at 4:00 PM at St. Thomas More Church, 8501 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN. with a morning prayer on Friday at 10:00 AM and a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM. Interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Hammond, IN. Fr. Matt graduated from Catholic Central High School class of 1935. He was ordained on June 6, 1943 after graduating from St. Meinrad Seminary and he retired on July 1, 1994 of 51 years of service to the Gary Dioceses.
