Rev. Richard J. LeClair, C.S.Sp., 87, of Bethel Park, PA, a member of the Congregation of the Holy Spirit, died Wednesday, November 6, 2013. Father LeClair was born April 21, 1926 in Monponsett, MA. He professed his vows to the religious life August 22, 1948 at Holy Ghost Novitiate, Ridgefield, CT, and was ordained to the priesthood June 8, 1951 at St. Mary Seminary, Ferndale, Norwalk, CT. Following his Ordination, Father LeClair was assigned to the missions of East Africa, serving there for 53 years. Well known for the design and construction of many buildings, he built five churches, several schools, rectories, and health centers. Fr. LeClair is survived by his sister, Constance LaBarre of Monponsett, MA; and several nieces.
