Father Sans, 77, passed away in his sleep. Father Ted was ordained into the priesthood in 1959. This May would have been his 52nd anniversary as a priest. Upon graduating from Holy Cross Grade School, he attended St. Mary’s Seminary and graduated from Saint Meinrad Seminary. His assignments included Associate Pastor at St. Basil Church, teacher at Bishop David High School and Trinity High School for 25 years where he taught in the English Department and started the Theatre Department. Father was inducted into the Trinity Hall of Fame. Upon leaving Trinity, he served as Pastor of St. Raphael for 10 years, Associate Pastor at St. Albert the Great for 10 years, and at the time of his death, he was a Sacramental Associate at St. Margaret Mary for the past four years.He was preceded in death by his parents, Lena and Theodore (Boob) Sans; brother, Gary; and a brother-in-law, Harold Metcalf.Survivors include three sisters, Gail Young (Ed), Collista Metcalf and Pamela McNeil (Pat); nephews and nieces, Steve, Mike, Mark, Greg, Troy, Kennetha, Teena and Kelly; and 15 great-nieces and nephews.
