Fr. WalterA. Hancock, 91, died Friday, March 2,2012 at Carmel Home in Owensboro.He ministered as a priest in several places in the Diocese of Olvensboro.He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Irvin Hancock and Jane Catherine Payne Hancock; his brothers, Irvin Hancock, Jr. and John Hancock; and his sister, Mary Catherine Veatch.Survivors include one brother, Ben Hite Hancock of Waverly; five sisters, Ann Collins of Waverly, Louise Coshan of Ft. Erie, Ontario, Canada, Gertie Brumleve of Louisville, and Sister Jane Miriam and Sister Jane Irvin, both of Mount St. Joseph in Maple Mount, Ky.; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
