Fred E. Behrman, 71, of Belleville, IL, formerly of Jonesboro, IL, born November 23, 1940, in Jonesboro, IL, passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2012, at Memorial Hospital.Mr. Behrman retired from Marcone Appliance Parts in St. Louis, MO. He was a member of St. Augustine of Canterbury Catholic Church, Belleville, IL. Fred was a veteran of the U.S. Army.He was preceded in death by his parents, Ollie and Mary Pauline, nee Weston, Behrman.Surviving are his loving wife of 48 years, Janice L., nee Berkel, Behrman, whom he married on October 15, 1963; two sons, Joseph (Glenda) Behrman, and Michael (Michelle) Behrman; one daughter, Shelly Behrman; five grandchildren, Ashley Behrman, Andrea Behrman, Michele DeArmond, David Holt, and Patty Hunter; five great-grandchildren, Masi Arnold, Zachary DeArmond, Skylar DeArmond, Kayla Hunter, and Joseph Hunter; four brothers, John (Mary Jo) Behrman, Ralph (Judy) Behrman, Rick Nold, George Behrman; one sister, Ina Jean Valperts; four nieces; and one nephew.Memorials may be made to Help Hospitalized Veterans. Burial with military honors will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
