Gary Lee Ziegler, 69, of Brown County, passed into eternal lifewith his family by his side at 5:39 p.m. Friday August 19, 2016in St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born August 20,1946 in Huntington, Indiana to the late Wilbur Clifford Zieglerand Laura Betty (Plasterer) Ziegler.Gary was active member of Saint Agnes Catholic Church,Secular Order of Franciscans and the Society of St. Vincent dePaul. He felt a call to help others and was active in the jailministry at the Bartholomew County Jail and was a member ofAlcoholic Anonymous for several years.Gary is survived by his wife, Caryl (Varva) Ziegler to whom hewould have been married for 47 years on August 22, 2016. Tothis union were born 2 children, Chris (Michelle) Ziegler ofPaddock Lake, WI and Beth (Christopher) Mohr of Edinburgh.He is also survived by 2 sisters, JoAnn (David) Nix ofHuntington and Joyce (Steve) Parkison of Olympia, WA; abrother, Lamar (Kay) Ziegler of Noblesville and 2 grandchildren,Logan Ziegler and Celine Garczynski.
