George “Quentin” Voigt, Jr., 77, died peacefully at Centerpoint Hospital Georgetown, KY on Monday, July 20, 2026, following an extended illness. Born in San Jose, California, to the late Wanda Lois Bradley Voigt Siegle and George Quentin Voigt, Sr. on January 22, 1949, Quentin had been a resident of Kentucky for many years. Following high school, Quentin first attended Catholic seminary with an interest in the priesthood. Though he changed his professional pursuits, he remained a faithful Catholic all of his life. He was a member of the St. Thomas Parish in Bardstown. Most recently, Quentin lived in Georgetown with his wife of almost 25 years, Patricia Goodpaster Voigt. He retired after many years as a CPA and worked at several different accounting firms, in Bardstown, Lexington, and Georgetown. Quentin enjoyed fishing and vegetable gardening. He was also an avid UofL Cardinals fan.
Quentin will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Patty; his son, Joseph Ryan Voigt of California; his daughter, Leigh Anna Voigt of Bardstown, Kentucky; his brothers, Bradley (Amy) Voigt, Geoffry (Jenny) Voigt; his sisters, Cheryl (Sam) Smith, Jonelle (Bill) Kelly; his brothers-in-law, Robert (LeAnn) Goodpaster, Monte (Anna) Goodpaster; sisters-in-law, Vicki (John) Capps, Robin Voigt, and Lucretia Voigt. Quentin was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Glen Voigt and Mark Voigt.
