Gerald Michael Page, 79, of Aurora, Indiana, passed away Tuesday November 24, 2020.
He was born March 25, 1941 in Cincinnati, Ohio, son of the late Robert “Curly” Page and Norma (Scharf) Page.
Mike served his country as a member of the United States Navy. Mike was with the Navy Nuclear Power Program (submarines) for 11 years.
He worked as a Plant Engineer for Anchor Glass Mfg., retiring after over 20 years of service. He was an Adjunct faculty member at Ivy Tech Community College through this past Spring.
Mike was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and he was active with the adult religious education. Mike had great faith in the Lord and he enjoyed sharing that with others. Mike was a public servant and enjoyed being with people. He was on the Red Cross Board of Directors, where he also taught First Aid and CPR.and was the Red Cross Shelter Manager during the 1990 Tornado and the 1997 Flood. Mike also served as an EMT for Aurora for 10 years.
Mike is survived by his loving spouse of 59 years, Susan Page; daughter, Cheryl Ann Ogle Lowry of Palm Harbor, FL; son, Michael Charles Page of Milan, IN; sister, Patricia Kircher of Waterford, MI; grandchildren, Kathryn Page, Heather Armstrong (Sgt. Anthony) Mendoza of McDonald, PA; great-grandchildren, Emiliya, Corbin & Fallon Mendoza.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, John Charles Page.
