Son of the late Robert and Virginia (nee Sanderson) Griffith. Dear husband of Bernadette T. Sickmann. Father of Lezlie King (Adam White), Andrea (David) Yob, Jennifer (Jason) Athman, Robert Clayton (Catherine) Griffith and stepfather of Heather (Mike) Talken, Jennifer (Derrick) Cripps, and Holly (Ben) Talley. Loving grandfather of Dalton and Devon King, Madeline, Mia, and Sophie Yob, Ben and Audrey Athman, Sam, Teresa, Emma and Gabe Talken, Zaria, Grant, Beradette and Markus Cripps and Sydney Talley. Dear brother of the late Dennis Griffith. Dear to sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend to many.
Jerry was born in Paducah, Kentucky and grew up in New Jersey. He attended Saint Meinrad Archabbey in Indiana for high school and college with a bachelor of arts in education and Master in Theology. Jerry continued his education at St. Louis University and University of Missouri- St. Louis with Masters in Counseling and Administration. He was employed by St. Louis City Schools as athletic director, counselor, and teacher of his favorite subject, Latin. Jerry loved to read, travel, and listen to classical music. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus- Fatima Counsel.
