Glen R. Hoffman, 65, died at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.He was born on August 26, 1943, in Huntingburg, Indiana, to Edward and Gertrude (Reuber) Hoffman. He was united in marriage to Kathy Sevier on April 24, 1965, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Huntingburg. Glen worked for 26 years at the Peabody Coal Co. in Lynnville where he retired in 2000. He then spent 5 years driving a truck for Nancy Baer Trucking. He was currently employed as a bus driver for the Southwest Dubois Co. School Corporation. Glen served in the Army National Guard from 1964-70, was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, and enjoyed dancing and woodworking.He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Joe and Paul Hoffman.He is survived by his wife, Kathy Sevier Hoffman, Huntingburg; two sons and daughters-in-law, William and Donna Hoffman, Huntingburg and Blane and Julie Hoffman, Jasper, Ind.; one daughter and son-in-law, Bridget and Barry Schneider, Huntingburg; his father-in-law, William Sevier, Somerville, Ind.; two brothers, Eugene Denning, Huntingburg and Kenny Hoffman, Santa Claus, Ind.; two sisters, Pat Brown, Huntingburg and his twin, Glenda Chappell, Huntingburg; and four grandchildren, Beau and Baileigh Schneider and Andrea and Katelyn Hoffman.The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Dr. Gwenda Breckler, Dr. Mark Browning, and Dr. Don Miller for their professionalism and the genuine care and support each gave to Glen during his illness.Information obtained from the Evansville Courier and Press online, www.courierpress.com, on 3/4/2009.
