James C. ôCurtö Elliott, 84, of Loogootee passed away at 6 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 29, 2016, at his home.He was born Dec. 12, 1932, in Martin County to Clarence and Ada (Doyle) Elliott.Surviving are his wife, Elsie Irene (Buzan) Elliott; a daughter, Constance (Charles) Allbright of Loogootee; a son, Dennis R. (Debbie) Elliott of Oaktown; three brothers, Doyle (Rita) Elliott and Mike (Vonda) Elliot of Loogootee, and Tony (Debbie) Elliott of Greenwood; a sister, Donna VanWinkle of Loogootee; four sisters-law, Marie Elliott and Georgia Elliott, both of Loogootee, Mary Louise Elliott of Harrison and Thelma Elliott of Wilmington, Ohio; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by a son, James C. Elliott Jr.; five brothers, Clarence I. (Lavon) Elliott Jr. and Carl, Fred, Norbert and Larry Elliott; two sisters, Naomi (Rocky) Walters and Martha Lou (Merrill) Wolford; a brother-in-law, Robert VanWinkle; and a great-granddaughter, Madison Raeanne Allbright.
