MARTIN, Jerome Dennis born January 20, 1937, in Omaha, Nebraska, died on January 10, 2020. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road Swartz Creek, Michigan .
Dennis also known as Jerry, Tall Martin, Lurch, High Pockets, Shorty, Egore, etc. ( he was 6ft, 6in tall in his prime), was a Police Officer for the City of Flint Police Department for 29 and a half years. He served 27 of those years as an Accident Investigator in the Traffic Bureau, retiring in July, 1996.
Dennis is survived by Barbara, his wife of 53 years, two daughters, Dana (Robert) Klepi and Jessica (Mark) Bakki, three sons, Jeffrey, Stephen (Karley) and Michael Martin: 7 granddaughters, 9 grandsons, 2 step-grandsons, 2 great granddaughters, four sisters-in-law and three brothers-in-law. Dennis was preceded in death by daughter-in-law, Amy Martin, granddaughter, Dominique Martin and parents, Frank and Josephine (Cahoy) Martin.
