John James Curran was born April 16, 1937 to the late Mary Catherine (May) and Martin J. Curran in Indianapolis. He graduated from St. Francis de Sales grade school in 1951 and graduated from Cathedral High School in 1954. He received a BA in Philosophy from Saint Meinrad College in St. Meinrad, Indiana. Jack graduated from the Indiana University Law School in 1969. He received an accounting license from the State of Indiana in public accounting. He also received a real estate license in 1979. Jack practiced law in Indianapolis and also did tax and accounting work for others. He worked for 20 years for Naval Avionics from 1965-1985 and for Allison Engines for four years before returning to Naval Avionics and retiring in 1990. He married Mary Lou Harrigan on November 27, 1965. Jack and Mary Lou had three children, Patrick Curran who received a BS degree from Lake Forest College, Maureen Curran, CPA and Michael Curran, M.D. who has a practice in urology. Michael is married to Susan Murphy and they have two children, Michael Joseph II and Ryan Kennedy Curran. They reside in Walpole, MA. John is survived by his wife, Mary Lou; his three children; two grandchildren; brother, Philip Curran and his wife, Kathy; sister, Mary Jo Hawkins and her husband, Donald; and a sister-in-law, Mary Catherine Curran.
