John D. Walker, age 77 of Schererville, IN, passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2013. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Mary; two sons: Vincent (Lorraine) Walker and Andrew (Jeni) Walker; three grandchildren: Grace, Liam, and Mick; two brothers: Michael (Barbara) Walker and Rodney (Germaine) Walker; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 1, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. DIRECTLY at St. Michael Catholic Church, 1 Wilhelm St., Schererville with Rev. Martin Dobrzynski officiating. At rest St. Michael Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit with John’s family on Sunday from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the Lincoln Ridge Funeral Home, 7607 W. Lincoln Highway, Schererville (Rt. 30 east of Cline Ave.). Wake prayer service Sunday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. John was a retired auto transporter.
