John F. ôJackö Sievers, 86, of Vincennes, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 24, 2015 at Good Samaritan Hospital.Jack was born Aug. 25, 1929, in Vincennes, the son of Julius C. and Helen C. (Bezy) Sievers. He married Mary Deborah OÆConnor on May 30, 1957. He was a self-employed carpenter. Jack was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. He won the Simon Brute award and was in charge of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church grounds and building. He was also involved with the Northwest Territory Genealogical Society and helped restore the Old French House.Jack is survived by his wife, Debbie; a daughter, Julie Sievers of Vincennes; sons John Sievers and his wife, Angela of Vincennes, Dan Sievers and his wife, Donna of Vincennes, Andy Sievers and his wife, Lauren of Mahomet, Illinois, and Joel Sievers and his wife, Leanne of Vincennes; a sister, Martha Roberts of Vincennes; grandchildren, Corey Sievers and his wife, Michelle, Alex Sievers and his wife, Sophie, Evan Sievers, Jenna Perry and her husband, Vance, Rachel Sievers, Grant Sievers, Andrew Sievers and his wife, Abigail, Suzannah Sievers, Matt Sievers, Will Sievers, and Colin Sievers; and five great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Martin Sievers; and a sister, Virginia Marcroft.
