John L. Grenough, 83, of Louisville, passed away Friday, October 12, 2012. John worked as a teacher at Trinity High School and then later served as the Development Director there before his retirement. He was also a member of St. William Catholic Church. Preceding him in death were his parents, Edgar and Bernadine Grenough (Dudine). He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Helen Grenough; daughter, Erin (Michael) Trier; son, J. Todd Grenough; daughter, Amy Grenough Cherrie; sisters, Sr. Mary Grenough, MM (Mary Knoll), Millie Grenough (Paul Bloom), Rose Nett (Fred) and Jean Percy (Don); brothers,Vincent and Richard Grenough (Claudia); and his grandsons, Hayden and Lucas Trier. A memorial visitation will be 2-9 p.m. Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at Ratterman and Sons, 3800 Bardstown Road. A Mass in honor of his life will be noon Wednesday at St. William Catholic Church. There will be a celebration of his life following the Mass in the Communication Arts Building at Trinity High School from 4-8 p.m. Memorial gifts, in lieu of flowers, may be made to Trinity High School Foundation, with special attention to the John Grenough Scholarship Fund or Hosparus.
