Joseph Merle Kutter, age 92, of Centerville, Indiana, died Monday, June 22, 2026, at Ambassador Healthcare.
Born March 5, 1934, in Richmond, Indiana, to Herman F. and Idris Faye Moody Kutter, Joseph lived in this community his whole life. He was a 1952 graduate of Richmond High School and attended the University of Dayton. Joseph served in the U.S. Army Corp. of Engineers. He and his wife were owners of Kutter Construction Company for many years. Joseph was a past member of Richmond Civic Theatre Board, St. Andrew Church Council, member of Richmond Symphony Chorus, Richmond Catholic Community Choir, and was a cantor at St. Andrew. He loved music and the outdoors.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Ann Reddington Kutter; daughters, Kathy (Bill) Ketron, Karen Thomas, and Christine (Randy) Wright; son, Jerome (Rachel) Kutter; brother, John Kutter; sister, Mary Jane Bush; grandchildren; great grandchildren; nieces; and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
