Lawrence M. Cassidy, 89, died at The Forum at Brookside. Mr. Cassidy is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Olivia; two daughters, Maureen Kingry (Gary) and Eileen Peterson (Dominic); two granddaughters, Emily and Molly Peterson; two foster daughters, Joyce Jordan (Paul) and Linda Lee; and his sister, Eileen Kieffer. He graduated from St. Xavier High School, St. Mary’s College and attended Saint Meinrad Seminary. He joined the US Naval Air Corps in 1943, Lt.(j.g.) and served in the South Pacific. He joined Provident Mutual in 1946 and became the manager of the Kentucky agency in 1953. He was a life member of the Million Dollar Round Table and the City Salesman Club. He was one of the founders of the Christopher Nursing Home and the Louisville Tennis Club. In 1984, he retired and started The Bonsai Store, where he and his wife continued to work until October, 2008. Many people were very special to Mr. Cassidy: his family and friends, the staff at The Forum. the staff at CBC, Dr. Wm. French and his staff, and all the friends who helped over the years at The Bonsai Store. The family would like to extend their thanks.
