Leo J. Reinhart Jr., 78, of Fostoria, passed away at 4:15 am Wednesday August 21, 2019 at his home.
He was born January 12, 1941 in Tiffin to the late Leo R. and Dorothy R. (Kleinfelter) Reinhart. He married Catherine E. Krupp September 23, 1967 at Our Lady of Consolation, Carey and she survives in Fostoria.
Also surviving are six children, Scott P. (Tunia) Reinhart, Hong Kong, Patricia M. (William) Lanning, Thornville, Robert J. “Rob” (Leslie) Reinhart, Fostoria, Joseph J. (Kristen) Reinhart, Hawaii, Andrea K. (Doug) Dafler, Lafayette and Shawn L. (Crystale) Reinhart, Fostoria; ten grandchildren; sisters, Ruth Ann Frey, Upper Sandusky and Jean Kledzik, Napoleon; and a brother, Ronald (Judy) Reinhart, Tiffin. He was also preceded in death by five children, Dorothy Marie Reinhart, Leo Joseph Reinhart III, twins-Suzanne Marie and Susan K. Reinhart and Todd Joseph Reinhart; and a brother, Gerald “Jerry” Reinhart.
Leo grew up on the family farm and was a 1959 graduate of Hopewell Loudon High School. He attended Andrew Barber College, Toledo and had owned and operated “Leo’s Barbershop”, Fostoria for 14 years. He was a member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church, 3rd and 4th Degree Knights of Columbus, Fostoria, St. Vincent DePaul Society, 65 year member of the Catholic Order of Foresters, Fostoria Sharing Kitchen, National Geographic Society and the Fostoria Arts League. He had been a former member of Fostoria Exchange Club and Scout Master for Troop #450. Leo and Cathy were foster parents for 29 babies.
