Linus Lee Leinenbach of Washington, NJ (Warren County) passed away to a merciful Christ on Monday, March 3rd at St Luke’s University Hospital in Bethlehem, PA, surrounded by his wife and children.He was an extraordinary man. Born in Ferdinand, IN on January 20, 1935, he was the oldest of 8 children. He spent most of his early life in Ferdinand and Evansville, IN before attending high school and college at Saint Meinrad Seminary, St. Meinrad, IN.In 1957 he met Dorothy Guerieri whom he married on October 4, 1958. They had 5 children together and the family resided in Hillsborough Township for 23 years. The marriage was 56 years strong at the time of his death.He spent his life in worthy causes, most notably in the constant care and attention of his disabled daughter, Lisa and in the service of his family as well as anyone else who needed his help. For everyone who knew him he was a constant example of charity, compassion and forgiveness, and was a strong pro-life advocate.He was the owner and proprietor of Vista Motors in Somerset County for close to 25 years, retiring in 1992.He is survived by his wife Dorothy Guerieri Leinenbach, 5 children; Lisa Ann and Terri Marie of Washington, NJ, Michael Andrew of Jersey City, NJ, Patti Ann, of Stewartsville, NJ, and David Lee of Upper Black Eddy, PA, and his wife, Elizabeth (nee Brown) and children Anna Theresa and Sara Lin.He is also survived by 3 brothers and a sister; Stuart Leinenbach of Fredericksburg, VA, Maurice Leinenbach of Blackwood, NJ, Alan Montgomery of Blackwood, NJ, and Patty Leinenbach Owen of Virginia Beach, VA.He is pre-deceased by his first grandchild, Mary Caitlyn and 3 brothers; David Leinenbach of Evansville, IN and William and John Reed of Maple Shade, NJ.Visitation will be at the Countryside Funeral Home in Three Bridges, NJ on Friday March 7 from 6 pm to 9 pm. A short visitation with Rosary will be held at St. Ann Roman Catholic Church in Hampton, NJ, from 9 G╟⌠ 10 am on Saturday, March 8, immediately followed by a mass of Christian burial.Entombment will be at the Immaculate Conception Mausoleum in Clinton, NJ.In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a donation be made to Life Choices of Phillipsburg, NJ. www.lifechoicesonline.org.
