Mark A. Cunningham, 83, passed away at Windsor Estates. Mark was born Nov. 4, 1928, in Kokomo, to the late Glenn and Rose M. Cunningham. His marriage to the former Beverly Jo Baxter, who preceded him in death, was on Jan. 26, 1957, in Indianapolis. He was a Kokomo High School graduate and a graduate of Sacred Heart Seminary of Fort Wayne, and Saint Meinrad Seminary. Mark worked at Continental Steel for 26 years, was a member of the Indian Heights Volunteer Fire Department, served as treasurer of Taylor Girls Softball League, a Sunday school teacher at First Baptist Church of Greentown, and a diehard St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan and Notre Dame football fan.Survivors include two sons, Tony A. Cunningham and wife Beth, Joe S. Cunningham and wife Deby; a daughter, Terri Phillips and fianc+¼ Ken Carter; a brother, Bob Cunningham; five grandchildren, Aimee Richmond, husband Kirk, Audrey Wunderlich, husband Brad, Mary Cunningham, Amanda and Andrew Bright; three great-grandchildren, Kraig and Katie Richmond and Braden Wunderlich.He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Beverly Jo Cunningham; a son, Mark A. Cunningham II; a daughter, Debbie Cook; and nine brothers and sisters.Visitation is noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday at Ellers Mortuary Webster Street Chapel, 3400 S. Webster St. Services are 2 p.m. at the mortuary, officiated by Pastor Kenn Freeland. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, envelopes will be provided at the mortuary.
