Martin F. “Marty” Sapp, 72, of Brooksville, Fla., died at his home.He was born in Owensboro, KY and lived in Louisville, KY until 1964 when he moved to St. Petersburg, FL, coming to Brooksville in 1965. He was employed by Florida Rock, Florida Crushed Stone, was a Sheriff’s deputy, former manager of Cash Feed Store, grounds keeper at Sherman Hills Golf Club, an avid bowler, member of the Air National Guard, Hernando Lodge #97 and St. Anthony Catholic Church.Survivors include his wife, Dorothy “Dot,” five sons and daughters-in-law, Martin (Debbie) of St. Petersburg, Christopher (Gina) of Williston, Gerald (Wendy), Joseph (Tina), and Paul (Lois), all of Brooksville; one daughter and son-in-law, Yolanda (Leonard) Rausch of Brooksville; one brother, James of Charlestown, IN; two sisters, Rose Beard of Irvine, KY and Jane Yenner of Louisville, KY; 17 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
